Cook Time

Serves

1 cup

Ingredients

  • Hot water
  • ½ lemon, sliced or juiced
  • 1–2 tsp honey
  • Optional mint or chamomile

Kitchen Witch Notes

Honey brings warmth and sweetness; lemon is often used for clarity and brightness. A very ordinary cup can still mark a fresh start.

Serving Suggestions

Drink slowly before a walk, journalling session or start-of-day reset.

Introduction

Nothing complicated here: hot water, lemon, honey and a small pause. It is bright without being fussy, and a useful little reminder to drink something warm before the day gallops off without you.

Method

  1. Add the lemon and optional herbs to a mug.
  2. Pour over hot water, then stir in honey to taste.
  3. Leave for a few minutes before drinking.

Swaps & Variations

Use agave instead of honey, or add fresh ginger for a sharper cup.
